Education is the process of gaining knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits, which will be beneficial for an individual’s day-to-day life. Several steps involved in the education can be categorized as teaching, training, research, discussion, application and other similar activities. Education can be both formal and informal through the method of teaching which is known as pedagogy. Formal education is achieved through educational institutions and informal education is self-acquired like learning with the help of technology, learning from friend etc. Either type of education changes the life of an individual and society as a whole.
An educational institution is a place where different people gain an education. This can be a child care, pre-schools, primary or elementary schools, secondary or high schools, higher secondary schools, colleges and universities. These educational institutions provides a wide range of learning environments for the overall development of an individual. Educational institutions are different for students of different age groups - For a kid aged 3 years, pre-school is his/her educational institute while for 18 year old student, a college or university is his or her educational institute.
